Collect Tree Cutter's Steel Axe (1) Talk to Tree Cutter |

Quest Start
Ouch... This is not the way the God of Mountains works.
- How did you end up with that lump on your head?
A few days ago, I got hit on the head by an axe that was dropped inside the pond. I was so incensed by this unruly behavior that I threw it back out. Just now, some tree cutter came by and demanded that I return his lost axe, though. He was so adamant about his axe that he didn't want the gold axe or the silver axe that I offered in place of it.
- So what do you plan on doing with it?
I promised to find the lost axe a while ago, but no matter how much I try, I can't find it. Nowadays, there seems to be monsters that have the axe stuck on their forehead. I wonder if one of them took his axe... can you please help me out on this?
Please find the tree cutter's steel axe that has been thrown out of the pond and return it to the tree cutter. I think a monster might have snatched it away. Bring the axe that the Dark Stump yields, and I'll try to determine if the axe is indeed from the cutter or not.
For you to say no to God of Mountains's request ... my gosh, the lump on my head seems to be getting bigger and bigger now...
Quest Complete
Hey, that axe you have in your hand ... it looks awfully familiar. It looks like the one I lost! Can I take a look at it?
Yes! This is the axe that I lost! I was working, and all of a sudden, it slipped out of my hand and fell into the pond. Too bad the God of Mountain decided to throw it back out somewhere remote. I returned home with a promise that he'll someday find it for me, but that really wasn't enough to comfort me... anyway, thank you so much for your work.
Here, take it. It's a book that I've had for a long time, but I really don't have time to read books these days, so it's been doing nothing but collecting dust. I want to give this to you in return for bringing back the axe!
I haven't been able to concentrate on work with my axe gone. I'm so glad I got it back!
